Negotiations - Direct Club To Club Transfer Deals

I usually play Top Eleven through my iPhone. I like mobility, allowing me to go anywhere I want, and login to the game to watch my progress. This game never fail to entertain me daily, making my life somehow more exciting. (I'm a working employee, so this game saves me from the boring meetings.)

I've never play this game from my laptop, and until recently, while surfing my facebook, I decided to give it a try. Suddenly, a pop up came up to my surprise.

Direct Club to Club Transfer

Once you've reached Level 4, you are allowed to make direct offers to players from other clubs. This function only valid from your computer or laptop. It's still not accessible through mobile, and that's the reason I've not explore this function yet.

So what does it mean?

Making Direct Offer

Besides bidding for the players you want, you are allowed to make direct purchase of players you want. You can make an offer to another player, and if accepted, you can get his players.

First of all, you go to Transfers. Once in Transfer screen, you can click on Negotiate.

In this screen, you'll be able to see all the players listed. These players are usually of higher quality than normal Auction players, and they cost at least 6 Tokens to make an offer. These players are listed by another club and it's between you and him.

Making An Offer

To make an offer, you just have to click on the player.

Right below, you can see a bar. Just drag the cursor to increase the price and tokens offered. Of course, the higher the better. And take note, I've personally tried at the lowest price and 0 token. Guess what, after 3 tries, I gave up. No one will sell their star players cheap. You have to offer more to get their players.

Once you've offered, it'll take 24 hours for the other party to decide if your offer is accepted. If not, your Tokens will be refunded. So don't worry about the bidding. You can keep trying.

I wish this function can be added to mobile quickly, so that I can direct purchase using my iphone. Nevertheless, I still enjoy logging in to Facebook once a while to make some offers.

So what about you? Have you successfully bid for a player? Care to share your experience below in the comments?

Selling Players In Top Eleven

When comes to balancing your team in Top Eleven, you not only need to focus on buying good players. You need to learn how and when to sell your players, even if they are your ace players.

Why Sell Players?

The primary reason to sell your players is to cash them out. By selling them, you are able to get some money to bid for better players. There are several reasons for me to sell away my players such as:
  • Injury prone,
  • Old,
  • Not performing well,
  • Too many players in the same position.
These are the common reasons. Let's go into details.

Injury Prone Players

During the reason, especially when it comes to the last week or so, if any of my players are injured for a long period of time, eg: 10 days, I'll just sell them away. Anyway to me, they won't be able to play for the remaining matches anymore. So by selling them, I'll able to get immediate cash to purchase a replacement to last me till the end of reason. Remember, you have to battle all the way to the end.

Old Players

1 trick I'll often use is to purchase good, old players at the start of the season. However, I will have to gamble the players will not retire at the end of the season, else I'll lose all the money. Usually, just before the end of the reason, I'll sell away all my old players, such as age 30 years and above. If not, once they announce their retirement, I'll lose everything. You can look at the example below.

Andre Fong Tin Joen, one of my favorite player, announced his retirement at the age of 32. I'm not able to sell or renew his contract anymore. Therefore, I'll just lose this player after this season. No good.

Let's look at another example.

Liviu Kovacs. Age 32. He has not announce his retirement, but based on his age, I know he'll be gone soon. You can see he's a 4-star player. Rather than losing everything, I'll just sell him right before the reason ends. In this way, I'll still be able to get some cash out of him to buy better players next season.

Rule of thumb. Take note of your player's age. If they are reaching 30 years old and above, try to sell them early.

Not Performing Well

This is quite subjective. However, I do take note of the form of the players. If a particular player just can't perform, with form of average 6-6-6-6-6. I'll consider selling him. He's just not for the team.

Too Many Players In The Same Position

Sometimes, due to injury, I'll make some urgent purchase. After that, if I have 4 players playing the same position, I'll just sell away my weakest player. No point keeping so many players.

This game is about managing your team. You have to consider the actions to be taken before the next season. So what type of players do you sell away? Let me know in the comments below.

Top Eleven Scout And Transfer Tips

Top Eleven Scout

When you are interested in getting new players, there are basically 2 options for you:
  • Get into the bidding war and outbid other players in the game, or
  • Sign scout players without bidding

As you can see, scout players can be found under Transfer screen. Just slide to the left and all your superstar players will be there. Basically all players found in this list will be 6-stars with a special skill. These are the best players in the game.

Depending on the age, the prices will be different. To me, prices are not much of a concern. As you can see from the screen, the most expensive player cost $5.1M.  Cheapest can cost just over $2M. The toughest part to get these players are the Tokens required. To get 1 superstar, you have to spend 50 Tokens! Yes 50T!

This scout option is to attract people to buy tokens with cash in order to get these players immediately. Unless you are willing to wait 50 days to earn 50 Tokens, there's no simpler way. To me, I'll rather bid on the transfer listed players, which I find more fun. I'll explain how to select players to bid below.

Bidding The Correct Players

Since our Tokens are limited, it's always wiser to save up a number before you go into bidding war. I've ever bid for a player, spending over 20 Tokens and lost the bidding war due to shortage of Tokens. So if you decide to bid for a player, make sure you have at least 10-20 Tokens.

So which players should you bid? For me, I'll try to make sure all my 11 players will be 4 stars. However, 4 stars players are expensive and competitive. Many people are bidding them as well. So you either spend a lot of tokens to outbid them, or you bid smartly.

This is how I bid for a player with minimum token (most of the time, I'll just spent 1 Token):

Step 1

Look for only 3 Star players in the position you want. If you want a Striker, shortlist all 3 Stars Striker.

Step 2

Check their level. The picture below shows you a list of 3 stars players.

So which player should you bid? Let's zoom into 2 players:
  • Lorenzo Merz
  • Eder Roca
Lorenzo Merz

As you can see, Lorenzo Merz's Level is 25.

Eder Roca

As for Eder Roca, his quality is 29! Which means, after you've purchased him and train him for a while, he'll move up to 4 stars. Just by selecting the 3 star players with the highest quality will allow you to train them into 4 stars easily. Not to say the bidding war will be easier than purchasing 4 star players straight.

My advise

Since you are going to bid a player, you might well bid for the highest level that will be promoted soon. After a few trainings and matches, this player will definitely move up 4 stars. You can in turn sell this player next season at a much higher price, making a handsome profit. This is how I build and train my team daily.

So once a while, go into the market and source for players whom no one is bidding, grab them and train them. Once they have level up, sell them away.

Top Eleven Transfers Tips

Top Eleven Transfers

Transfer is one of the most exciting part of the game, besides the match itself. You have to outbid against other players in the world when you want to buy a player. This is when you want to build a stronger squad.

First of all, you have to go to Transfer Screen. It is the first tab of the game.

Once you are inside, you will see a list of players. These players are currently for sale on the market. You can see:
  • Roles/positions they play,
  • Age,
  • Quality,
  • Price,
  • Time.

 Roles/Positions

You have to place the correct player at the correct position. If you are shortage of ML, you have to get a ML to replace. If not, the player will not be up to standard.

Age

Age is correlated to injury. The older the player, the more likely-hood he'll get injured and the longer recovery time for him to recover (number of days). It is advisable to get young players as their stamina will drop lesser. However, younger players are always more expensive. You have to make your balance of a team mixed with young and old players yourself.

Quality

This is what you are after - Quality. As for now, you just have to take note of the number of stars. The higher the better. In later posts, I'll explain in details how to choose players that is of quality and cheap. Just know the basic will do as for now.

Price

Price is the mitigating factor to select your player. Is the player you want to buy worth the price? Prices usually depend on the Age and Quality. A 20 year old player with a 4-star quality will cost the most, compared to a 32 year old player with 3 star quality. Make your balance.

Time/Deadline

This column will show you the remaining time of the bidding. It can take a few seconds to hours. Just monitor the players you are interested in.

The last 2 things you must take note is the Money ($) and the Tokens (T) you have. When you start the bidding war, you cannot stop and withdraw. You have to proceed all the way, so make sure you have ample money and tokens before you start bidding for a player.
